Diffusing Essential Oils for Health and Well-Being

If you have followed me for any length of time you know that I am an essential oil believer and user. I have used them consistently for about three years now, from everything to treating a sore throat and sinus issues to cleaning my home and doing my laundry. There really IS an oil for everything!

But there are some really easy uses for them, and products you can find in most stores, to use them in your home, office, car, just about anywhere. I am talking about diffusing essential oils into the air.

There are several different ways that you can diffuse oils. You can use a cool mist diffuser, a heat lamp diffuser, a plug-in diffuser, or a fan-driven diffuser. These are all very easy to find in grocery stores, pharmacies, health food stores, and specialty stores.

A few easy recipes to diffuse:

For restful sleep: use lavender in a cool mist diffuser

For stuffy nose/allergies: Eucalyptus, peppermint, or spearmint (any one of these alone are great for breathing easier) in a cool mist diffuser

For clarity at work or on a drive in the car: lemon, peppermint, and lavender in a fan-driven diffuser with USB plug for the car or laptop

For getting rid of strong cooking odors: cinnamon or peppermint in a heat lamp or plug-in diffuser

So this is just an easy way to get started using essential oils. I promise, once you start you will be hooked!
