What I Will Do For You . . .

I offer several unique services to my nutrition clients. Some services can be purchased separately, while others are provided in a package. Each service is tailored to your individual needs and those of your family.

Pricing is specific to the individual client, and is determined after a free initial consultation where your needs will be assessed. Packages range from $50 to $1500 depending upon individual client needs.

Free Consultation

This is our starting point for any plan I would put together for a client, from the most simple to the most complex. I start with a basic health questionnaire, get your weight/height/measurements/body fat/BMI, and we discuss goals. Do you want to lose weight, maintain weight, train for an athletic event? Your plan will be tailored to fit your specific needs. Do you want your family to eat healthier, do you want to try to get off of medications? We will discuss these goals also. I will work with you and your doctor, if necessary, to accomplish your nutrition goals.

Once we decide on a course of action, we will discuss individual services or a package of services that best meets your goals and your financial needs as well. Payment in full is requested at the beginning of our journey.

Kitchen Make-Over

This is typically the first step on a journey to better nutrition habits. I come to your home, and together we go through your kitchen — fridge, freezer, pantry, cabinets — and assess where you are and where you need to be. We will read nutrition labels together, and I will teach you what to look for in better food choices, and what to avoid. We will also assess your cooking appliances and utensils, for what should go (deep frier!) and what you might need (steamer, juicer, etc.). Then, YOU make the decision for what food items need to be tossed out and what can stay (dry goods and non perishables will be donated to a local food pantry). You would be surprised at some of the results I have seen!

Healthy Shopping Tips

I will take you on a typical shopping trip. Sometimes we will stop at the local farmers market (depending on the season) and your favorite grocery store. I will teach you the tricks for where in the store you should do the bulk of your shopping, and which aisles to stay out of. I will teach you how to purchase the best and healthiest food for you and your family, from the produce department to the meat counter and everything in between. We will also read nutrition labels and compare different products so that you learn how to make the best, healthiest choices for you and your family.

Cooking 101

There are healthy ways to cook almost everything you can imagine. Some of your favorite dishes may not be so healthy, but changing one or two ingredients and the way it is prepared could be the difference you need. I usually do this in my home, but I also can come to yours. Sometimes it is a group class for multiple clients, and this again depends on your needs and preferences.

Nutrition 101

This is where the real work begins. I will tailor a nutrition plan specific to your needs (and those of your family if this will be a group effort!) and spell out exactly what you need to shop for, give you meal plans and menus, and work with you to change your eating habits over about an 8 week time frame. If your plan is to lose some weight at the outset, I will develop a plan to help with this as well as changing eating habits over the course of time so that new habits are developed which will last a lifetime. If you are happy with your weight and just want to learn new habits, we can accomplish this together as well. I will meet with you regularly, and be available to you as questions or concerns arise.

Follow Up

Once new habits are formed, I will always be available to answer any follow up questions or help you tweak your plan as your needs change. This is a free service to my nutrition clients — for a lifetime!
